How do I get to your office?

  • Located at  85 Manchester street Suite 1B and 3 A  in Concord NH. 

What can I expect on the first day?

  • Typically, the first session reviewing the completed paperwork will take about 15 - 20 minutes, along with discussing your therapy goals. It is not uncommon to make art on the first day in a simple and non -judgmental way.

What can I expect on subsequent appointments?

  • Depending on the your needs and goals, art prompts will be provided to make art and then spend  some time processing and reflecting on your work that is specific to your goals.

Do I have to be an artist to attend art therapy?

  • No. There is no previous art experience required.

What is involved in an art therapy session?

  • Art therapists rely on their knowledge and specific techniques. Sessions involve looking at what is included or represented in artwork - and what is missing. It is explored from the creators, your, perspective. 

Is Art Therapy like an art class?

  • Art therapy is not an art class, but the process can involve learning art techniques. The art therapy process can provide joy and expression into one's perspective, and feelings.

Is Art Therapy just for children?

  • No. Art therapy is for all ages, individuals, families, couples, and  even for groups.

How long does a session last?

  • A session is typically 50-60 minutes in length.

How much does a session cost?

  • Services are fee for service.  We can accept cash, check, HSA, and major credit cards. We have some scholarships and funding available, please inquire within.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

  • Yes. 24-hour notice is required. A missed appointment fee  is added.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

  • I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. You can cancel your appointment by calling, or sending me an email.

What are your office hours?

  • Office hours are typically M-F 9 am to 5 pm. Please inquire about additional evening and weekend times by emailing info@capitalarttherapy.com or calling (603) 212 -1ART (278).

Do you offer anything other than therapy?

  •    YES! Please check out our calendar for upcoming events, workshops, training, and classes.

Do you offer EMDR?
